The second memorial (two folios, bamboo paper) was presented to the emperor on 20.XI K' ang-hsi 9 (31 December 1670), when they were released from prison after the persecution of Yang Kuang-hsien. They petitioned the emperor to also release the missioners who were detained in Canton.
