ABSTRACT

Phil Silverman was the creative director of the Houston office. One knew that the general manager's job in the Houston office of JPT was dangerous when they took it. For every great idea he had, he had many more that ignored the basic marketing strategies established by the client. It seemed that the more off strategy he was, the more stubborn he became about his ideas. He said that he didn't appreciate one taking the client's side in front of the entire agency account group and creative team. While he was one of the most creative guys on the planet, he was also one of the most volatile. Phil went on to say that he thought that the client had the wrong strategy and that his creative would be on strategy if they would listen to his reasoning.
