ABSTRACT

The web allows students to post their writing in blogs or wikis, upload their videos to YouTube or Google Video, and present their podcasts in online radio. This chapter focuses on the Student PowerPoint because it is the most commonly used presentation software in schools. It shows how to record and edit audio for podcasting, and how podcasting increasingly popular means of broadcasting digital audio over the Web. Odeo offers a very simple tool for recording audio, though it has no editing tools, so one need to get it right the first time. As teacher, one might capture video of a historical event off your computer screen and add audio commentary. An iPod is a great tool for simple, mobile audio recording and playback. Mobile podcasting opens up a new realm of possibilities for teachers.
