ABSTRACT
The Center ofVisual Anthropology Group of the Center for New Information Technology (Gruppa 'Tsentr vizual'noi antropologii" Tsentra novykh informatsionnykh tekhnologii-TsNIT MGU) was established in 1991 on the basis of the interfaculty laboratory system and educational teaching facilities of MGU, which in their turn, were the successors of the interfaculty kafedra for educational and scientific photography and cinematography (UINFIK MGU). At the present time TsNIT retains the film archive ofMGU, which began its formation in the early 1950s within the UINFIK kafedra.
