An archive sector existed since 1918 at the AII-Russian Central Council of Trade (literally, Professional) Unions (VTsSPS), which accessioned records of the VTsSPS Presidiurn and its divisions. In 1930 the archive was transferred to the jurisdiction ofTsAU RSFSR, which served as the basis for the Central Archive of the Trade-Union Movement (TsAPD) (after 1933-the Central Archive of the Trade-Union Movement and Labor Organizations). After the abolition ofthat archive in 1941, its fonds were transferred to the division of Trade Unions of TsGAOR SSSR (now the division for centralorgans of social organizations of GA RF).
