ABSTRACT
In early 2009, the outgoing Bush administration left historic and disastrous policies for the incoming Obama White House to deal with, including two of the nation's longest and least successful wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Barack Obama would be compared with Franklin D. Research showed that African American youngsters educated in integrated schools fared better in life than counterparts and shared their advantages with their children. Complaints surged in the wake of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law of 2002, when the administration of George W. Bush linked federal funding to annual tests of student skills. The Women's Educational Equity Act of 1972 barred sex discrimination in academic and athletic programs in schools, colleges, and universities that received federal aid. The proportion of women age 25 to 54 at work or seeking work kept rising, from 35 percent in 1950 to 75 percent in 2010, and 80 percent among college-educated women.
