ABSTRACT
Music and languages are closely linked in that they express feelings and ideas. The primary curriculum for both music and languages has many similarities: listening attentively; exploring patterns and sounds of language; enjoying singing songs and chanting rhymes which include authentic texts; and performing with increasing confidence and fluency. Musical elements and melody can all enhance primary language teaching.
