ABSTRACT

This chapter presents an interview with Kevin Lemke, a Vice President of Pricing, Stanley Black & Decker. The interview was conducted by Stephan Liozu, an Assistant Professor of Management and Strategy at Chatham University, US. Kevin Lemke holds a bachelor of science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He has eighteen years of experience in pricing, having worked previously for Continental Airlines, Dell Inc, Zilliant, Kalypso, and Freescale. Pricing and Human Capital explores the specific nature of pricing human resources and focuses on how to manage pricing teams, pricing talent, pricing careers, and how to organize the pricing function for success. Human Resources (HR) and the pricing team need to build a dedicated training program to give them the strategic skills.
