ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes on the interviews and on what they deem the most important pricing skills, what needs to be done for human resources and pricing teams to collaborate more and how pricing executives can accelerate the transformation of their organization. The interviewees agree that there are five skills critical to pricing success. Given that interviewees work for sophisticated organizations and have achieved great things in pricing, it is not surprising to read that all of them work actively with their HR and talent development teams. HR teams typically associate pricing with IT and finance and do not realize the unique skills required to manage pricing programs. However, interviewees also agree that it is the responsibility of pricing leaders to reach out to and communicate with their HR peers. The number one recommendation is to invite HR professionals to attend all pricing programs and, specifically, all pricing training sessions.
