ABSTRACT
This chapter talks about an interview between Stephan M. Liozu and pricing expert Robert Smith. He answered to stephan's question about pricing that he think it is probably improving over time, as companies continue to look for ways to improve their performance. Pricing many times still tends to get obscured under other functions, such as finance, supply chain, and procurement. Also he replied about importance of pricing that the governance of pricing across the company is also supported by a companywide Pricing Council. Pricing certainly gets a lot of attention due to its influence on profitability. Robert Smith replied abut career progression that he had a variety of roles within Eastman, including manufacturing, purchasing, mergers and acquisition work, and business management. Also he answered about managing the human capital that he supports running the business and achieving his team goals, but the primary focus from an HR perspective is to support the growth of the business leadership in the company.
