Key messages • The Ganges Basin countries routinely feature on lists of the most climate-vulnerable nations
in the world. Increases in temperature, changes in precipitation and glacier melt, intensified monsoons, water-induced disasters, sea level rise – all the impacts of climate change – are expected to upset the delicate hydrological balance existing in the basin, giving rise to new water management challenges.
