ABSTRACT

Nick Cooke is an independent mastering engineer and professional musician. He received his BA Hons. degree in music production from the Leeds College of Music and started mastering in the production music library industry in 2008. Nick’s mastering career began at De Wolfe Music, which was founded in 1909 and is the longest running independent music publisher in the world. He quickly built his skillset working on a vast and varied catalogue and specializing in remastering projects from tapes dating back to the 1950s, as well as newly produced material. In 2010, Nick moved to Sony/ATV’s award winning Extreme Music. During his time at Extreme, Nick has had the pleasure of working with many leading composers and producers such as Hans Zimmer, Sir George Martin, Hugh Padgham, Ramin Djawadi, Eddie Kramer, Timbaland, Xzibit, Michael Giacchino, Lorne Balfe, and many more.
