ABSTRACT

Behaviors are what leaders and managers do or the actions that they take (and for analytical purposes, should or should not take in the situation). For example, as the opening profile shows, the leaders at Biogen engaged in decision-making, change management, and partnerships/networking behaviors. They also strived to develop staff, keep them motivated through involvement and transparency, and build and retain teams for each center of excellence. Finally, they engaged in the tasks of solving problems and corporate citizenship, to minimize the negative impacts on their employees and their families.
