ABSTRACT

Autoethnography is used to research a practitioner’s experiences with teaching physical education, being a young mother and coaching school sport. The culture of school-based sport juxtaposed with teaching and family responsibilities and pressure provide the context for Jodi Harding-Kuriger’s desire to reflect on her past, consider the present and plan for the future. After setting the context, we describe the research process, identify artefacts and critical incidences, engage in analysis and finally, reflect on the process as a whole.
