Identifying and supporting children with Developmental Coordination Difficulties

In the early 1900s the term ‘congenital maladroitness’ was used to describe those who showed significant movement difficulties. Now the term ‘movement difficulties’ itself has become widely used as it is compatible with other terms in the special needs area such as ‘learning difficulties’.
