ABSTRACT
The nurses' grasp of the ideas covered in the core course was measured with a modified version of O'Dell et a!. 's (1979b) 'Knowledge of Behavioural Principles as Applied to Children' (KBPAC). This was adopted since it was the most psychometrically sound measure of the few that were available.
