Established U.S. car-rental firms include Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. Hertz, Avis, and National mainly compete on location and service, especially at airports. Advantage, Alamo, Budget, Dollar, and Thrifty compete on price. Enterprise became the leading car-rental firm overall by offering replacement cars for owners whose cars were being repaired.
