ABSTRACT
Amancio Ortega and his wife started Zara in their La Coruña (Spain) home, designing and stitching fabric with help from family members. The Ortegas opened the first Zara store in La Coruña in 1974. In addition to its most profitable Zara brand, parent firm Inditex offers the Bershka, Lefties, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Uterqüe, and Zara Kids brands.
