ABSTRACT
Scaling matters for different types of collaboration, ranging from software design to operation theatres, in terms of complexity and transactional cost. The hiatus between the increasing demand for the larger organization of research and the deep rooted individualistic bias in scientific evaluation also points to the acute need for remodelling, symbolized in this chapter by René Magritte’s enigmatic paintings.
