chapter  7
Corporate Internationalization: The Position of the Netherlands
Pages 44

Thus, the impact of international influences on the Dutch economy is the central theme of this chapter. Section 7.3 treats the importance of foreign enterprise for the Netherlands as a whole and, in particular, for the regions within the country. An interesting question in this context is how this international influence has changed in the course of time and what role the various regions have played in this process. Since the contribution of the region to national prosperity is a topic of major concern, it would be interesting to see if any functional-spatial specializations can be identified.
