ABSTRACT

This chapter explores how organisations can build a culture of entrepreneurship to deliver innovative outcomes. It considers in turn these elements of organisational structure, entrepreneurial processes, people and leadership, and it will then explore how they interact. A key aspect of entrepreneurial leadership is guiding and shaping the future direction of the organisation. Such a vision for where the organisation is heading is extremely important as it sets the modus operandi, - the way that the organisation operates - and it provides a sense of what the organisation stands for and where it is going. Entrepreneurship is often seen as the domain of a few, remaining in the realms of the research and development department or top management. Finally, the role of the leader in providing the innovation challenges and empowering employees to create a shared entrepreneurial vision provides the platform from which culture can take over.
