ABSTRACT

Some features in visual art have been gleaned from non-artists with neurological damage through standard neuropsychological tests and experiments. Other features can be interpreted in terms of perceptual, cognitive, and mnemonic concepts worked out by cognitive psychologists. In order to gain insights into the neuropsychology of art it is useful to discuss art-relevant features straddling neuropsychology and cognitive psychology. This is the approach adopted in this chapter.
