ABSTRACT

Mainland China implemented the socialist system, whereas Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao implemented capitalist systems. After the Sino-Japanese War in 1895, Taiwan was under Japanese control. Taiwan TV began in 1960s. In the 30 years since its inception, China Television Company, Taiwan Television Enterprise, and Chinese Television System, three television stations that were actually controlled by the Kuomintang (KMT), monopolized the TV industry business. The rapid development of online media squeezed the market space of Taiwan's television industry. Hong Kong's earliest television station was the private Asian Television Co., Ltd. Hong Kong's journalism gradually recovered after the end of the Second World War and developed throughout the mid-1950s. In 1966, Hongkong Television Broadcasts obtained the first wireless TV broadcasting license in Hong Kong. Macao's radio and television industry has had more than 60 years of history. With the increase in cable and satellite TV channels in Macao, the management of broadcasting services became important.
