ABSTRACT

Maisey studies hard and does well in her classes. She begins a job search and realizes that her high marks are not enough to land a job. She begins to seek out people to help her gather information about how to look for jobs in her field and along the way meets some well-connected people. When one of these contacts hears about a job opening in her office, she calls Maisey, who is quickly called in for an interview and offered the job.

Education is a journey, not a destination. And while this implies that you should always be learning new things and expanding your skill set, it also means that an education alone is not going to land you a job. Yet, if you are like most of your classmates, your principal goal in enrolling in an online class or program is to find a new job or advance in your current job. You are making an investment of time and money in your program and you expect to get a return on that investment in the form of a job that you want.
