Mike. No matter what you say, there are times when you will choose the good end over legal means. It all depends on the stakes. Consider this. Two men are driving by. They look a bit rough. You have no basis for a stop, not even a profile. The vehicle is street legal. But you have an uneasy feeling. So you follow them for a while. You call in the plates, and they’re fine. Vehicle looks fine. They could be a couple of scruffy criminal justice college teachers, for all you know. Are you going to stop them?
