ABSTRACT
At this point, the many ways in which technology is impacting both new forms of criminality and the investigative function should be obvious. The following chapters provide a more vivid description of the social, criminological, legal, and investigative issues facing law enforcement, and particularly those charged with understanding the phenomenon and building criminal cases in what has certainly become a new and, at times, a very uncertain environment.
