ABSTRACT
This chapter presents automotive practical worksheets for servicing vehicle chassis. It provides step-by-step guides for servicing suspension system, servicing manual steering system, checking wheels and tyres for signs of damage and setting tyre pressures, and servicing disc brakes. A blank job card for students to complete and an assessor report are provided with each worksheet. This should be copied and then filled in alongside the task he/she is completing, including all relevant details regarding the vehicle, the fault and the rectification procedure where appropriate. Students should write down a description of the work that they did to complete the task including any technical data that he/she sourced, any difficulties that they encountered and overcame them. This worksheets book for students at Level 1 contains tasks that help students develop practical skills and prepare them for assessment. The tasks also reinforce the automotive theory that he/she will learn online and in the classroom.
