ABSTRACT

A bundle is the file of materials that will be using in support of arguments. For mooting purposes, a well-prepared bundle will: put in a single place all the relevant written material to which reference will be made during the moot and enable speedy access to authorities and other material. This benefits the court and the mooters. It will assist with pre-moot reading and make a favourable impression on the court. A poorly produced bundle can have significant consequences for the offending party in the moot. In professional practice, inadequate bundles can lead to adverse costs consequences as well as invoking the wrath of the judge. The index is placed at the front of the bundle and lists, in the order they appear, every document contained in the bundle, identifying under which tab and on what page it can be found.
