ABSTRACT

Since the beginning of recorded history, humans have observed the natural unfolding of events and have gradually identified important natural patterns that serve as the foundational basis for prediction. Favorable situations allow for greater latitude and opportunity for enriching spatial environments. The objects that are in space impact people's emotions, and the number of objects that are present in our space determines the density relationship of space. Spatial dominance by humans in an urban setting can be thought of as freezing ecological succession. William Cronon provides a unique perspective of the relationship between urban and rural environments in that economic forces are the driving factor that have transformed environmental conditions with regard to urban and rural spaces. Hence, technology has given people the ability to explore the far reaches of space all from the comfort of home and through the screens of their devices.
