ABSTRACT

The workshops in Part Six are designed to be used in sequence: the first four (Chapters 20-23) introduce the four basic elements of Rudolf von Laban’s analysis of action, with exercises for practice and notes on the application of these rhythms to acting; the fifth (Chapter 24) applies Laban’s vocabulary to the speaking voice; and the last workshop (Chapter 25) brings the four elements together and then connects them with sound and text.
