ABSTRACT

This chapter explores an expanded awareness in order to find satisfactory answers to some essential questions within the area of "health and care". It describes some meanings that are originated from the patients' comparisons of the anthroposophic care with general care. The chapter aims to deepen the notions of ecological health and caring in an excursive interpretation of the empirical findings, within the framework of phenomenology. Articulating the essential meaning of the phenomenon of ecological health and caring, the authors wanted to avoid the concept holistic, which is ambiguous and imprecise. Existential vulnerability increases when one is being diagnosed with severe illness or other conditions, which threatens well-being and the capacity to realize one's life projects. The anthroposophic care, and the opportunity to realize one's own intentions, is but the other side of peacefulness. It can provide a way forward, to better understand, carry out and maybe reorganize one's health-oriented everyday life.
