ABSTRACT

This book is a systematic account of the three different ap proaches now current in psychotherapy: Freud’s, Alfred Adler’s, and my own. Drawing on his wide professional knowledge, the author has carefully elaborated the principal viewpoints underlying each approach, and thus gives the reader, who may have neither the time nor the opportunity to study the originals, a complete and rigorously objective survey of this controversial field. The expo sition and manner of expression are such that the educated layman can follow the argument without difficulty.
