ABSTRACT
The goal of this chapter is to serve as a reference for those in comparative politics interested in an interpretivist approach. It provides a historical overview of comparative politics before launching into some of the main contemporary research questions that have motivated interpretivists within the subfield as well as different methods for gathering information and analyzing it, illustrated through a selection of key interpretive studies in comparative politics.
