ABSTRACT
Speech communicates between the one who utters and the one who receives and responds to the utterance by voice. The written word, silently but powerfully, changes and ends the form of life. The acquisition of words, the ability to use words, is a privilege. The spoken word or the written word, regardless of the enchantment, should be always be treated with strict vigilance. The mistrust in and continuous re-evaluation of language in Jacques Derrida and Daoist philosophers remind us of the concept of language-game. Through the concept of language-game, L. Wittgenstein questions the traditional metaphysical belief in the correspondence between language and reality. It is possible to play words in new ways, but these new ways of playing and new rules of the game involve questioning and criticising the status quo, including everything that has been approved or disapproved, esteemed or marginalised, and every criterion used to test or evaluate the world.
