ABSTRACT
I have attempted in the last chapter to present a psychological analysis of the intimate relation between property and personality. It is, of course, a familiar plea on behalf of private property that its possession is necessary for the full development of all the powers of the individual and that it is the most effective stimulus to the growth of character. I think we are now in a position to understand the psychological reality and basis of this appeal and in some measure at least to judge of its validity.
