What If … The Purpose of Education Were to Learn According to Feeling and Imagination?

In Chapter 6, we investigated schools that teach according to the natural development of a child. In this chapter, we focus on a type of school whose curriculum, instruction, and school organization center on clearly defined and articulated stages of development. To examine one stage in particular, we ask the wonder question, “What if … the purpose of education were to learn according to feeling and imagination?”
