ABSTRACT
The focus to this point has been almost exclusively on the architecture that is produced through the lens of community design (we have also peered indirectly into urban planning by way of the community design center model). Now the focus will shift toward the inter- and trans-disciplinary collaboration which makes such architecture possible, and how lessons from the past can be timely reminders for advocating community involvement in the provision of basic human needs and services.
