ABSTRACT

This chapter shares a workflow of using third-party 3D programs alongside Photoshop to print their 3D creation. It is designed to shed light into good workflow habits when printing their work. In the examples people will see a bust of image that began in LightWave 3D and then was exported into Zbrush. Zbrush is often used to further detail a 3D object created in other programs. When finished, it is exported into Photoshop to prepare it for the 3D printer. Zbrush is also a program of choice to add great amounts of detail and texture into 3D objects made in any 3D package to include Photoshop. The workflow for most 3D modelers is to design the initial model in their 3D program of choice then export to Zbrush to add detail that is often difficult to achieve in other 3D packages. Then send the model back to the program of choice.
