ABSTRACT
Pamelia Mann was born around 1800, probably somewhere in the Upper South. By the time she arrived in Texas in early 1834, she was on her third husband, one Marshall Mann, and had two sons, Flournoy Hunt and Samuel Allen, from the earlier marriages. Pamelia dominated her husbands and was universally described as a force of nature that few tried to challenge.
