ABSTRACT
Federal labor law is complex. Agricultural employers are given preferential treatment in that they are not covered under many federal labor laws unless they employ a significant number of workers. The threshold number of workers varies from one statute to another. In addition to federal labor law, most states have their own labor laws. This chapter sets forth the basics.
