ABSTRACT

According to the several international research and development articles a good constructability improves construction performance, productivity and quality. The use of building information models (BIM) at the design and construction stages contributes the achievement of construction objectives of time, cost and quality. BIM simulates the construction project in a virtual environment. It is possible to make constructability adjustments in the model, and practice construction before it is actualized on a building site. There is still only a limited knowledge of the assessment methods of constructability using BIM as an intensifying technology.
