ABSTRACT
Top-level governmental policy-makers traditionally drive technoscientific issues in India. In the wake of the 3/11 Fukushima Daiichi disaster, however, this approach-as it applies to nuclear energy development-has been challenged. In this context, this chapter investigates the scope and extent of a “Fukushima effect” on nuclear power governance in India in relation to social, policy, legal, and institutional aspects.
