ABSTRACT

Technological innovations have been the most significant contributor to hyper-change. This chapter presents globalization's impact on politics, the economy, culture, social interactions, capital flow, and trade. Democratic governments might face political challenges to the point of system breakdown. The United States remains an economic giant, has the world's largest military, and accounts for 28 percent of all global patent applications. The United States can continue to lead if we can solve two problems: the Governance Gap and the Wealth Gap. The human capital of 2025 will be today's Millennials, which have lived through and suffered at the hands of first the dot-com bubble burst. An urban area is also a financial cluster with purchasing power, investment flows, markets, banks, business entrepreneurs, managers, and workers. China's large young workforce has helped to advance economically in the past quarter century, but today, China's human capital its workforce will begin to shrink due to low birth rates.
