ABSTRACT
In 2008, Desmond Tutu defined Ubuntu: One of the sayings in our country is Ubuntu the essence of being human. In 2009 the author entered into the Environmental Humanities graduate program at the University of Utah. First year she created Political Awareness Campaign, a student club that would eventually help contributes to getting every college student in New Mexico registered to vote during the 2004 Presidential Election. Lizzy was her Vice President. The BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico destroyed an ecosystem. A giant cluster of trash, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, floats around the Pacific Ocean, slowly being digested through the food chain. Most Hispanic neighborhoods are poorer than the White neighborhoods, and the best schools happen to be in the White neighborhoods. Most of the Hispanic neighborhoods have Title her schools that struggle with truancy, crime, etc.
