ABSTRACT

We come to the writing of this final chapter from different parts of the world and different positions. Cheryl J. Craig is a senior faculty member at the University of Houston, a diverse research-intensive university in the US, who has turned down deanships, preferring to stay in a professor position. Lily Orland-Barak is an active dean in the second year of her term at the University of Haifa, Israel’s largest research-intensive university. From the outset, we bring different experiential lenses and insights to the writing of this concluding chapter. At the same time, we are both females who share an enduring interest in education broadly and teaching and teacher education specifically.
