ABSTRACT

Students orally state sentences where the subject always starts with the same letter, but the adjective changes alphabetically, starting with A. Students must ask a question to stay in the game. Instead of answering the question that the previous student asked, they have to ask another question. Also, consider determining a minimum word requirement for each question. Students must say a five-letter word to stay in the round. Depending on their language level, let students to do a quick brainstorm alone or with their partner. Limit the students to a specific tense or sentence structure to create more of a challenge. Throw an additional twist into the activity by allowing the students who respond to the questions about the object to lie. Students must say something that they associate with that word. If the association makes sense, or they can explain quickly why it does in the target language, they stay in the round.
