ABSTRACT
Patients with HIV/AIDS used to face a bleak future, with few prospects for meaningful treatment. Today, that has changed. Thanks to significant innovation in the development of antiretroviral medicines, people living with HIV/AIDS can lead healthy, productive lives. But access to these medicines is essential for successful treatment. And this access can be threatened by international trade agreements.
