ABSTRACT
The imagination, in creating poetry, therefore, echoes the creative principle underlying the universe. Conversely, the whole universe, both in its continuous generation in the ‘Infinite I am’ and in the repetition of that act in the process of perception by individual human mind, may be said to consist, just as a good poem does, in the productive resolution of contraries and disparates.10
