Managing Product Delivery (MP) agrees work requirements with the project manager and keeps the project manager informed on progress, quality and any problems. The project manager must consider whether a record of the work needs to be kept for any future performance appraisal of the individual. While the work is being done, there may be a need to report progress and confirm quality checking. A team plan for the work has to be created before the team manager can confirm the ability to meet target dates. Work package delivering process includes the following steps: confirm that the quality register has been updated with details of a successful check on the quality of the products, obtain approval from whoever is defined in the work package that the package is complete; and transfer the products and control their release to the project's configuration librarian.
