The Closing a Project (CP) process, the Project Board needs to assess the performance of the project and the Project Manager. Once the Project Manager can confirm that the project can be closed, a closure recommendation must be sent to the Project Board. Premature Closure ensures that any completed products created so far have been handed over to the customer. Planned Closure update the Project Plan with figures from the final Stage Plan. It prepares notification of project closure for the Project Board to send to corporate or programme management. The Project Board receives confirmation from the Project manager that everything has been finished before it informs corporate or programme management. Hand Over Products Identifies any work which done following the project and prepares a plan for when the realization of the projects expected benefits must be checked. It checks the Configuration Management Strategy for details of how products are to be handed over.
